Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 2026-07-12

PrepAscent is committed to making its ACT-style practice platform accessible to as many users as possible, including students with disabilities. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA where feasible for a web-based testing application.

Current conformance

  • Target: WCAG 2.1 AA
  • Status: Partial / in progress. Baseline UI uses semantic HTML, keyboard navigation on core flows, and sufficient contrast in the default theme. A full VPAT-style audit has not yet been completed by a third party.
  • Known areas under active improvement: timer controls, question option labeling for screen readers, focus management during section transitions, and high-contrast / reduced-motion support.

Accommodations support

The platform supports extended time (1.0×, 1.5×, 2.0×) for IEP/504 compliance. Org admins set a per-student multiplier under Admin → People, or an org-wide default under Admin → Organizations → School settings. The multiplier is stored on the attempt and used for server-side section deadlines. Contact markdonahue@prepascent.com for roster configuration help.

Feedback & support

We welcome reports of accessibility barriers. Please email markdonahue@prepascent.com with the subject “Accessibility feedback” and include the page/URL, browser + assistive technology, and a description of the barrier. We aim to respond within two school days and prioritize remediation for pilot partners.

For school/district procurement we can provide a more detailed conformance report or work with your accessibility team on a pilot evaluation.

This statement will be updated as we complete audits and remediations.
